Holiday Cheer, a new free Riverfront Fort Wayne event is coming to Promenade Park on Sunday, December 14. The event takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. inside the Park Foundation Pavilion, the indoor venue located within the park. Families of all ages are invited to spend the afternoon enjoying holiday activities in a warm and welcoming setting. Kids can make holiday crafts and create cards throughout the entire event. The craft tables stay open from the moment the event begins until it ends, giving children plenty of time to make something special to take home or give to someone they care about. The activity area brings a lively, creative energy to the pavilion.

From 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., the American Legion and the New Horizon Bands will perform a selection of familiar holiday songs. Their live music adds a festive feel to the afternoon and gives visitors a chance to sit back and enjoy the sound of the season. Santa arrives at 2:00 p.m. for photos and friendly conversations. Families can stop by anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to meet him and capture a moment that many children look forward to each year. Kids can also write letters to Santa, which adds another fun part to the day. Holiday Cheer is free and open to everyone.

Whether visitors stay for the full event or stop in for a quick photo with Santa, it offers a comfortable and enjoyable way to celebrate the season. As the first year of this new event, Holiday Cheer is set to become a fun addition to winter at Promenade Park.
