Muddy River Concert Series
Summer is just around the corner, which brings our Muddy River Concert Series! We have an exciting lineup of six bands scheduled throughout the summer, each providing something a little different in terms of genre and variety. So, whether you want to check out a local favorite, or give an out-of-towner a listen, Promenade Park is the place to be. June 12: Los Electro—Latin Rock & Cumbia
Los Electro is a newly formed psychedelic cumbia rock band that combines the dance element of Spanish music and blends it with the rapid-fire sounds of rock and roll. “Our main goal is to make our ancient ancestors of Fox Island proud with our Nile River-inspired compositions that flow through the listener’s ears.”
June 26: Wallen Road—Country
Wallen Road Band offers a lively fusion of your favorite country, folk, southern and classic Rock tunes, sprinkled with just the right amount of alternative flavor. With infectious energy and passion, they bring a fresh perspective to beloved classics and contemporary hits alike. From foot-stomping country anthems to soulful folk melodies and electrifying rock ballads, Wallen Road Band delivers a dynamic musical experience that captivates audiences of all tastes.
July 10: School of Rock—Rock
School of Rock is a performance-based music school, that gets students playing together right away. Once in their Performance Program, you can audition to be in the School of Rock House Band, which showcases the best of the best! Don’t be fooled by our name, although we definitely rock out, we play everything from pop to country and all that’s in between. Get ready to come watch some of the most talented kids Fort Wayne has to offer and enjoy musical styles from every genre!
July 24: We Are CheckMark—R&B Funk
We Are CheckMark is a popular local band that you can find performing in venues all around the city. They’re lively, positive energy will be sure to bring a smile to your face as you dance the night away.
August 7: Rachel Brooke—Country/Alt-Country/Americana
With one of the most naturally blessed voices in country today, Rachel Brooke shows no mercy with her down-home twang, powerful stage presence, and poetic lyricism—making her one of the brightest up-and-coming talents in the world of country music and honky tonk.
August 21: Left Lane Cruiser—American Blues Rock
Forming out of Fort Wayne in 2004, Left Lane Cruiser has the swampy feel of North Mississippi hill country blues with a good dose of snarling garage punk tossed into the mix. Specializing in raw hillbilly pink-blues style, this local talent will be wrapping up their summer of touring around the US and Europe at Promenade Park.
