Did you know that a single brown bat can eat up to 3,000 mosquito sized bugs every night!? Join Riverfront and the Save Maumee Grassroots organization as we build mini single-chamber bat houses and decorate them for these amazing natural pest managers. The bat box kits are made by local woodworking company, Firefly Goods, from repurposed wood and Save Maumee members will be on-site to help you assemble your project. You will also get instructions on when, where and how to hang your bat home in the backyard. This is a great class for kids and adults alike, parental supervision required for children.
